OVERVIEW
This project focused on designing a multi-page magazine layout for a Rolling Stone article titled “The Unsolved Case of the Most Mysterious Song on the Internet.” I began by researching and reading the article, listening to the song, and developing a design brief to establish the visual tone and message of the layout.
I created original imagery and used typography as both a readable and expressive design element to help communicate the mood of the story. The layouts were designed across several spreads, with the first couple of spreads being bold and the following spreads focused more on the text while still maintaining a strong visual interest. I focused on hierarchy, spacing, and the relationship between text and images to create a balanced layout.
