OVERVIEW
This magazine project was a collaborative publication design created as a part of an advanced visual communication course, emphasizing teamwork, concept development, and professional production workflows. Through extensive research, my team and I developed a cohesive magazine concept focused on current entertainment trends, with an overall Y2K theme. We defined a target audience, editorial content, and advertising strategy to ensure a unified voice throughout the publication. The design process involved creating and refining typography systems, color palettes, and grid structures to establish a strong visual identity and consistent layout through multiple spreads.
After multiple sketches and revisions, I translated these concepts into full-page layouts, focusing on hierarchy, readability, and visual flow. I used visual elements such as photography and illustrations to enhance the storytelling in the articles, which were sourced online. The outcome reflects strong strategic planning, collaborative problem solving, and polished editorial design.
